Are you interested in expanding your knowledge and skills in pain management? Then you don’t want to miss our upcoming continuing education course on Battlefield Acupuncture! This ancient Chinese technique is gaining popularity in Western medicine as a non-pharmacological approach to pain relief.
Our 2- day course will cover the history and principles of Battlefield Acupuncture, as well as hands-on training in the application of auricular acupuncture needles for pain management. You’ll learn how to identify specific acupuncture points on the ear and how to effectively use this technique in a clinical setting.

This course is open to licensed acupuncturists, MD/DO鈥檚, Dentists (in some states) Podiatrists (in some states) and Chiropractors (in some states)

Seminar Schedule & Course Content
The morning part (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) of the seminar is didactic, with the afternoon segment听(1:30pm to 5:00 pm) of seminar consisting of hands on learning and clinical treatment of patients. Here is how the seminar is structured:
8:30 am听check in and registration opens.
9:00 am听the seminar begins.
10:30 am听break for 15 minutes
12:00 pm to 1:15 pm听lunch break
1:30 pm听to 4:30听clinical treatment of patients
3:30 pm听15-minute break
4:30 pm听finish clinical treatments
4:30 to 5:00 pm听discussion on the day鈥檚 treatments and results followed by Q&A.听
5:00 pm听the seminar ends. Please feel free to stay after class to ask us any questions you may have.

About The Instructor
John Howard
Professor Howard completed his degree in acupuncture from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. John holds two professorships; one in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the other in Western Medicine from George Washington University (GWU). Professor (Prof) Howard lectured on suturing and minor trauma management. Upon completion of his degree Prof Howard entered into a five-year fellowship with the US military under the direction of Dr. Richard Niemtzow, MD, PHD. Prof Howard is both a clinician and an Academician.
