How long does it take to receive an admissions decision after I submit my application?
It depends on when you submit it. It could take as little as two weeks or up to a month. We review applications on a monthly basis.

How do I set up a call or in-person visit?

Can I sit in on a class?
Yes! Email [email protected] to set this up and we can help coordinate a time for you to observe either an in-person or online course. All class observations must be approved by Admissions and the respective course instructor.

Can you waive my application fee?
Yes, we will waive your application fee if you attend one of our information sessions.

Why do I need to enter my Social Security Number on my application?
It is necessary to process your application, Federal Financial Aid and your 1098-T form for tax purposes. Your SSN # is hidden in your profile and only accessible to necessary staff members.

I started an application previously but never finished it. Do I have to start over?
If your application is for a different year than you initially applied for, yes you would need to start a new application form. If it is for the same academic year, just ask us and we will resend you a link to get back into your application.

I don’t have a previous writing sample I can use for my Doctor of Acupuncture Program application. What should I do?
You can complete a new writing sample on any subject related to the field of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine following MLA/APA format guidelines, including references. At least 4-5 pages double spaced is a good guideline. The Purdue Owl at is a helpful writing resource.

I don’t have a Bachelor’s degree. Do you accept students without a Bachelor’s degree?
No we do not. Applicants to all programs must have a Bachelor’s degree at minimum. If you are currently completing a Bachelor’s degree program, you can apply the year you plan to complete the degree, and be accepted conditionally pending degree completion.

Can I complete my Bachelor’s degree at ������?
No, we are a graduate school only. We accept Bachelor’s degrees from any accredited institution. If you would like recommendations for online degree completion programs, reach out to us at [email protected].

Do I need to have all of the prerequisites and/or corequisites completed before applying?
Prerequisites can be completed concurrently during the admissions process. A conditional acceptance can be processed while prerequisites are being completed. They must be completed prior to the start of classes. Corequisites for the Doctor of Acupuncture Program do not need to be completed prior to enrolling, but must be completed prior to graduation.

What is the difference between a prerequisite and a corequisite?
A prerequisite must be completed before the start of one of our degree programs, while a corequisite can be completed concurrently during the program, and must be completed prior to graduation.

Do you offer the required Anatomy & Physiology prerequisites for the Acupuncture programs?��
Yes we do! We offer the A&P courses completely online and in an asynchronous format each summer term (starting in May). Review our A&P page for more information.

What about the Biology, Chemistry and Psychology corequisites for the Doctor of Acupuncture programs?
Yes, we offer a Biochemistry of Plants course which can satisfy either the Biology or Chemistry corequisite. We offer a Buddhist Psychology course to satisfy the Psychology corequisite for those who have not already completed a satisfactory Psychology course.

Do you accept Anatomy & Physiology credits from massage schools?
It depends on the school’s accreditation status and if the courses were equivalent to at least 3 credits each. If we can confirm that the school was accredited, we can typically accept the credits. Please check with the admissions department to confirm.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment via check, cash, or credit/debit card paid via our online payment portal in Populi (our student information system). There is a 3% processing fee for online payments.
